Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) proudly participated in the 50th Annual General Assembly, Book Fair, and Seminar-Workshop organized by The Academic Libraries Book Acquisition Systems Association (ALBASA), Inc., held from July 16-19, 2024, at the Vivace Events Center, Cebu Ocean Park, SM Seaside Complex, Mambaling, Cebu City.
With the theme "From Tradition to Transformation: Libraries Shaping the Future Through Innovation and Resilience," the event attracted over 80 member institutions from Visayas and Mindanao. ALBASA, a non-stock, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting academic libraries, hosted this dynamic 3-day book fair. HCCCI, a valued member since 2019, engaged in selecting and acquiring essential library materials from more than 23 book partners.
The event featured a diverse array of activities, including a business meeting, seminar-workshop, fellowship night, and benchmarking sessions. These activities offered invaluable opportunities for professional development, networking, and resource acquisition. HCCCI's Executive Vice President, Vanessa Marie L. Antiquin, MMEM, and librarian Rosecil S. Bayot, RL, represented the institution, emphasizing their commitment to advancing library resources, fostering innovation, and building a collaborative academic community.
