Lacerna presented “Building Cultures and Building Futures: Empowering Indigenous Education through Collaborative Online International Learning in Mindanao, Philippines,” focusing on how COIL can bridge cultures and improve educational outcomes for indigenous students in areas of Mindanao.
Vince Karl Otic delivered a talk on “Enhancing Language Acquisition and Global Competence through Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL): A Phenomenological Study of HCCCI First-Year College Students' Experiences,” examining the impact of COIL on language learning and global competence among first-year college students at HCCCI.
