Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc.’s Bᴀᴄʜᴇʟᴏʀ ᴏꜰ Sᴄɪᴇɴᴄᴇ ɪɴ Cʀɪᴍɪɴᴏʟᴏɢʏ students attended a Gun Safety Seminar and Firing and Combat Shooting Activity at Marbel Practical Shooting Association (MPSA) last September 2.
The said activity started with a Gun Safety Seminar that was conducted by Jose Daniel Kimpo, the Safety Officer of Santo Nino College Foundation, Inc. After the seminar, PCpl Julius B. Canlas and Pat Abdul Kamar A. Huesca of Koronadal Police Station personally assisted each student in their firing and shooting activity.
Moreover, present during the activity were Executive Vice President, Vanessa Marie L. Antiquin; Director for External Affairs and Linkages, Gayle Grace S. Electores; College Dean, Ma. Eloisa Española; Information Officer, Donna Claire L. Dili; HCCCI's Criminology Department Instructors, Aljan B. Dapitan and Julie Ann A. Sible; and, of course, the Program Head, Valmechiel E. Salmorin,RCRIM,MSCRIM.
This activity has been conducted for the students as one of the major requirements for the subject ‘𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘣𝘢𝘵 𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨’. Students were to follow the prescribed rules and regulations at the shooting range to ensure the safety of everyone. They were also instructed to wear the prescribed and appropriate attire inside the area.
After two years of virtual learning due to the pandemic, this hands-on training for BS Criminology students is something they can be proud of.
