Day 3 of the Lions Club of Singapore Paterson Outreach: Bridging Love and Kindness in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato

The Lions Club of Singapore Paterson, under the leadership of President Mr. Terence Wong, continued its meaningful five-day outreach on Day 3 in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato. Themed "𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀," the event took place at the Poblacion Gymnasium, benefiting nearly 1,000 local residents through a wide array of services.

With the active involvement and warm presence of Mr. Wong and the Lions Club members, the day featured free haircuts, toys for children, food pack distributions, and medical and essential supply kits, touching the lives of many in the community. Their hands-on approach embodied a spirit of compassion and service, making the event not just a charitable act but a demonstration of solidarity and community empowerment.

The outreach received strong support from the local government, with Hon. Mayor Remie N. Unggol expressing his appreciation for the initiative. The collaborative efforts of the Lions Club of Singapore Paterson, alongside students, teachers, and staff from Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI), highlighted how partnerships can be leveraged to address local development challenges in practical, sustainable ways.

Through these joint activities, HCCCI not only provided manpower and logistical support but also engaged in a learning process that reviews approaches from international partners, observing and adapting strategies that have proven effective in other contexts. This comparative perspective allows HCCCI to develop local best practices in community service, health, education, and livelihood initiatives—all aligned with relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including No Poverty (SDG 1), Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), and Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10).

This outreach reflects the Lions Club of Singapore Paterson’s ongoing dedication to building bridges of love and kindness in the Philippines and beyond. Under Mr. Wong’s guidance, the program continues to connect communities, uplift lives, and demonstrate that international collaboration—when combined with local insight—can effectively contribute to sustainable development goals. Stay tuned as this outreach program continues to unfold and inspire positive change.
