Empowering Global Readiness Through Halal Certification Training: HCCCI’s HALI Program Kicks Off

Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI), through its Adult Learning Institute (HALI) Program, launched a transformative initiative with its Halal Certification Training—a two-day deep dive into one of the fastest-growing sectors in the global food and logistics industry. Held in partnership with esteemed local and international stakeholders, the training program is part of HCCCI’s broader vision for industry-responsive education and global competency building.

Day 1: Foundations and Firsthand Exposure

The first day of the training laid the groundwork for participants—comprising professionals, entrepreneurs, and academic stakeholders—as they explored the essentials of Halal supply chain management, from compliance to international standards.

Led by expert guest speakers and joined by top industry partners such as Rell & Renn Fishing Corporation, Rell & Renn Seafood Sphere Inc., iFresh, and Prime Katsoubushi Philippines Inc., the session gave participants a firsthand look into the logistics of Halal-certified seafood processing, handling, and distribution.

“This initiative bridges local industries with global Halal standards,” noted one of the facilitators. “It’s about building trust, credibility, and inclusivity across markets.”

Participants were introduced to real-world models of compliance, witnessing how companies implement Halal principles while navigating international export demands—a vital step for both business expansion and cultural sensitivity.

Day 2: Technical Deep Dive and Industry Insights

On the second day, the training shifted from foundational to functional, focusing on the technical and regulatory pillars of Halal certification. Through interactive workshops, group discussions, and live case studies, attendees were guided through the certification process, documentation protocols, and strategic integration of Halal principles into business operations.

Industry thought leaders shared valuable insights into how Halal certification is not just a regulatory requirement—but a driver of trust and competitiveness in global markets.

“The rise of Halal-certified products speaks to a broader call for ethical, safe, and inclusive practices. This is more than a certificate; it’s a responsibility,” shared one speaker.

Participants walked away with actionable strategies that they can implement in their own institutions, businesses, or industries—advancing the goals of education, innovation, and sustainable development.

HALI: A Program of Purpose and Progress

The Halal Certification Training under HALI is only the beginning of a series of flagship programs designed to upskill communities, promote inclusive growth, and reinforce internationalization efforts in Region XII and beyond.

With HCCCI at the helm, HALI aims to serve as a catalyst for change, empowering local stakeholders to rise to global standards while honoring cultural and ethical values.

As the program unfolds, HCCCI invites more partners and professionals to join this movement—because building a more competitive, inclusive, and globally recognized Halal industry begins with education and shared responsibility.
