HCCCI at PLAI Region XII Seminar
The HCCCI Librarian, Justine J. Feca, RL, recently attended an enlightening seminar with the theme '𝑨 𝑵𝒆𝒘 𝑳𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔𝒄𝒂𝒑𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝑮𝒍𝒐𝒃𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒊𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑: 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒆𝒔, 𝑰𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏,' hosted by the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗜𝗻𝗰. (𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗜) 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗫𝗜𝗜 in Brgy. Binoligan, Kidapawan City last September 20-22, 2023. Over the course of three days, the library professionals, administrators, and enthusiasts came together to explore the evolving world of librarianship and its future direction, which.
During this event, participants gained valuable insights into various aspects of the field. They learned about the crucial role of libraries in knowledge dissemination, the evolving responsibilities and challenges faced by libraries and administrators in the global librarianship landscape, the transformative potential of AI in enhancing library services, the importance of adaptability in keeping up with technological advancements, strategies for proactive risk management in library operations, and the enduring significance of librarians as guardians of knowledge in the face of dynamic global challenges
The PLAI XII seminar not only provided a platform for networking but also fostered intellectual discourse. It empowered librarians to embrace innovation, adapt to changing environments, and proactively address present and future challenges.
As attendees departed with newfound knowledge and renewed enthusiasm, it was evident that this event had not only expanded their horizons but also strengthened the bonds among librarians. This bodes well for the promising future of librarianship in Region XII and beyond.
