HCCCI benchmarks iLAB facility at TAU
Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. conducted a benchmarking visit to Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) on June 21, 2022 as HCCCI will soon establish its Innovation Laboratory (iLAB) for Global Education and Digital Citizenship through the funding of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) through Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL).
The rapid advancement of technology has left the educational system in its dust and educators scrambling to find a way to catch up. In all levels of education, educational technology is perceived as a vehicle for curriculum enhancement. Thus, this project has been developed.
HCCCI is one of the few and the first private HEI in the country to have been granted by CHED this project entitled "International Mobility in the New Normal: Modernizing the iLAB as an Innovation Laboratory for Global Education and Digital Citizenship" that aims to develop the global education citizenship competencies and digital citizenship of the HEIs’ students, faculty, and staff.
The HCCCI team was welcomed by Dr. Sheila R. Lingaya, Assistant Director for External Linkages and International Affairs of TAU, in behalf of Dr. Christine Ferrer, Director for External Linkages and International Affairs, upon arrival. They took a tour of the iLAB facility and remarked those noteworthy specifics that will significantly assist HCCCI in identifying excellent opportunities for school improvement as they launch the aforementioned project very soon. As known to all, the institution's vision is to be a leading provider of highly skilled professionals who are globally competitive, and its mission is to nurture and train technologically advanced individuals to improve people’s lives in the community and the world. The establishment of this iLAB will undoubtedly complement, harmonize, and expand the local dimensions of the school.
