HCCCI IZN Strategy Planning and Capacity Building Workshop

During a two-day conference at the Bistro of Leblanc Hotel and Resort in Antipolo City, Philippines, Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) embarked on a significant endeavor to chart the course for the institution's next decade. The event, held on January 27-28, 2024, gathered key figures in the school's leadership, distinguished guests, long-time partners, and external experts for a strategic planning session.

Prominent attendees included Mr. Nathaniel C. Caballero, HCCCI's top administrator; Mrs. Marivet S. Caballero, the school’s President; Mr. Darrell C. Caballero, a member of the top administration; Mrs. Vanessa Marie L. Antiquin, the school’s Executive Vice President; and Mr. Roy Victor Sumugat, the school's Finance Head.

The conference also hosted esteemed guests and partners, such as Ma’am Consuelo N. Padilla, the director for the Land Bank Countryside Development Foundation, Inc. (LCDFI); Rodolph John Q. Paler, the Rell and Renn Fishing Corporation (RRFC) Corporate Finance Head; and Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong, President of Mabalacat City College (MCC). Also present was Atty. Lily Freida Milla, the director-in-charge of the CHED-IAS, all of whom have been valued partners of HCCCI for an extended period.

Providing an international perspective were external consultants and experts: Dr. Natarajan Varaprasad from Partner and Principal Consultant at Singapore Education Consulting Group, Engr. Rosette Eira E. Camus from E2LC Higher Education Consultancy, and Mr. Eddie Noque, a seasoned expert in strategic planning and performance management in both the private and public sectors.

The primary objective of the workshop was to finalize HCCCI's strategic plan for the next decade. Discussions centered around the potential incorporation of a community college model, expanding the institution's offerings from higher education programs/courses delivered through a community college framework.

The conference addressed key areas such as curriculum development, infrastructure enhancement, faculty training, and strategic partnerships, creating opportunities for the school’s constituents. Participants engaged in collaborative sessions, brainstorming ideas, and sharing insights to create a comprehensive plan aligned with the dynamic landscape of education and industry opportunities in the region.

Dr. Natarajan Varaprasad, an experienced education consultant, led discussions on global best practices and innovative approaches to education. Engr. Eira Camus and Mr. Eddie Noque contributed their expertise in higher education consultancy, offering valuable perspectives on implementing successful strategies.

As HCCCI charts its course for the next decade, the school aims not only to maintain its commitment to academic excellence but also to adapt and innovate in response to the evolving needs of students and the community concerning workforce development opportunities. The strategic planning conference marked a pivotal moment in the institution's history, setting the stage for a future characterized by dynamic educational offerings and community-focused initiatives.
