HCCCI Takes Part in Community-Based Leadership Training
The Municipal Council for the Protection of Children (MCPC) of Surallah recently organized a Community-Based Leadership Training from October 4- 6, 2023, at Venue 88 in General Santos City. This training serves as a prelude to the upcoming observance of Boys and Girls' Week scheduled for November.
Among the participants was Andrea Zynthara Laguardia, a student-leader representing the Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI). During the training, Laguardia actively engaged in discussions, workshops, and simulations focused on leadership and child protection. She shared her experiences and learned from the experiences of other young leaders from different regions.
The Community-Based Leadership Training received positive feedback from the participants, including Laguardia. They expressed their appreciation for the MCPC's efforts to promote leadership skills and child protection awareness among the youth.
As Boys’ and Girls' Week approaches in November, the training's lessons and insights gained by Laguardia and her fellow participants will undoubtedly play a crucial role in their contributions to the promotion and protection of children's rights in their respective communities.
The MCPC, in collaboration with educational institutions like HCCCI, continues to empower young leaders to become advocates for children's rights and play an active role in shaping a brighter future for the youth.
