Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. Basic Education Department Becomes the First Private School in the Visayas and Mindanao to Achieve Level III Recognition in Early Childhood Programs

Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 has made history as the first private school in the entire Visayas and Mindanao to receive Level III Recognition in Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) programs. This remarkable achievement, awarded under Republic Act 10410, also known as the Early Years Act of 2013, highlights the institute’s exceptional standards in educating and nurturing children aged 0 to 4 years. The award was presented by PSWDO Sonia L. Bautista, RSW, MTRM, MPA, on October 28 during the 2024 Provincial Child Development Workers Congress at London Beach Resort in General Santos City. Themed “Building Bridges, Changing Lives: Honoring the Compassion and Commitment of Child Development Workers,” this event reflects Holy Child’s mission to uplift and shape young lives.

The leadership team at HCCCI has been pivotal in attaining this milestone. Ma'am Joy D. Jordan, LPT, the ECCD focal person, has been instrumental in aligning the institute’s programs with ECCD standards, ensuring they meet the highest quality benchmarks. School Principal Lowel D. Pasinag, LPT, MMEM, has adeptly directed the academic framework of the ECCD programs, guaranteeing that they exceed quality and care standards. Executive Vice President Ma'am Vanessa Marie L. Antiquin, MMEM, has championed the institution’s vision of providing a nurturing and impactful educational experience. At the helm, School President Ma'am Marivet S. Caballero has spearheaded initiatives that position Holy Child as a trusted leader in early childhood education.

Additional key contributors include John Rey A. Tresbe, LPT, Assistant Principal, who has played a significant role in implementing effective strategies within the ECCD framework, and Melona F. Barrientos, ECCD focal person of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Surallah, who has collaborated closely with the institution to enhance early childhood programs in the community. Mary Jae D. Deval, LPT, Assistant Teacher, has also been instrumental in fostering a supportive learning environment for young children.

This Level III Recognition, effective from 2024 to 2029, underscores Holy Child’s pioneering role and unwavering commitment to developing quality programs that support young learners. With a dedicated team and a forward-thinking approach, Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc.
