The Book Nook–Surallah, proudly housed at Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI), expresses its heartfelt gratitude to the National Book Development Board – Philippines (NBDB) for granting the 2024 Book Nook Package, a recognition that reinforces HCCCI’s ongoing commitment to literacy, inclusive education, and community development. As one of the selected Book Nook sites in both 2021 and 2022, the Surallah hub has consistently demonstrated excellence in program implementation, reporting, and community engagement, making it a trusted space for learning in the municipality and surrounding areas.

The 2024 Book Nook Package significantly expands the center’s collection of books, educational materials, and digital resources, ensuring that access is available not only to enrolled students but also to teachers, parents, and members of the public. Visitors can freely explore a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books, reference materials, and online learning tools, while the Book Nook also provides computers, multimedia equipment, and space for collaborative learning. This enables learners of all ages to engage with knowledge, develop research skills, and explore new areas of interest in a safe and inclusive environment.

Through its expanded resources, the Book Nook–Surallah supports reading sessions, literacy workshops, and community outreach activities designed to inspire young learners, cultivate a culture of reading, and promote lifelong learning. The center also serves as a venue for small lectures, storytelling sessions, and educational programs that encourage dialogue and knowledge exchange between students and the wider community.
