Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI), together with SimplyShare Foundation Inc. and Lions Club of Singapore Paterson, joined a humanitarian initiative to provide essential medical equipment to 13 hospitals across Cebu Province. The donations included hospital beds, wheelchairs, walking frames, canes, and other medical supplies intended to support patient care and mobility in healthcare facilities serving communities throughout the province.

The initiative highlights how partnerships among educational institutions, humanitarian organizations, and other contributors can help direct essential resources to healthcare facilities. By supporting hospitals with equipment for patient accommodation, mobility, and care, the participating organizations contributed to efforts to strengthen healthcare support for patients and the communities that depend on these institutions.

The 13 beneficiary hospitals are Balamban Provincial Hospital, Pinamungajan District Hospital, Camotes District Hospital, Bantayan District Hospital, Badian District Hospital, Bogo Provincial Hospital, Sogod District Hospital, Danao Provincial Hospital, Barili District Hospital, Oslob District Hospital, Carcar Provincial Hospital, Isidro C. Kintanar Memorial Hospital, and Tuburan District Hospital.

The donated equipment serves practical purposes in hospital settings. Hospital beds support patient accommodation and recovery, while wheelchairs, walking frames, and canes provide mobility assistance for individuals who need additional support. Together with other medical equipment, these resources can help healthcare personnel respond to patient needs and provide a more supportive environment for care.

The initiative also underscores the value of sustained humanitarian service. SimplyShare Foundation Inc. and Lions Club of Singapore Paterson brought their commitment to community welfare into a collaborative effort to support healthcare institutions. HCCCI is grateful to be part of this undertaking and to work alongside organizations whose humanitarian initiatives help connect resources with communities and institutions in need.

The participation of the Provincial Government of Cebu and other partners further reflects the importance of cooperation in supporting public services. Through coordination among organizations and government stakeholders, initiatives such as this can complement the work of healthcare facilities and contribute additional resources for patient assistance.

For HCCCI, the collaboration reflects its commitment to Serviceability and Social Responsibility, one of the institutionโ€™s STAIRS core values. Through CommunNekta, HCCCIโ€™s community engagement initiative, the institution works to connect partnerships and shared resources with meaningful service beyond the campus. This involvement demonstrates how institutional relationships can support practical responses to community needs.

The initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being, through the provision of medical and mobility equipment to healthcare facilities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through cooperation among participating institutions, humanitarian organizations, and public-service partners. It also contributes to efforts associated with SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities by helping extend support to healthcare institutions serving communities across the province.

HCCCI recognizes and appreciates the continuing humanitarian efforts of Lions Club of Singapore Paterson and the contributions of SimplyShare Foundation Inc. and the other partners involved. Their collective work demonstrates how collaboration can translate a shared commitment to service into tangible assistance for hospitals, healthcare personnel, patients, and families across Cebu.

Through this partnership, HCCCI continues to connect its educational mission with community engagement and social responsibility, supporting initiatives that place human needs at the center of collaborative action.
