In commemoration of National Anti-Hazing Prevention Week 2026, Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) conducted the campus-based advocacy initiative titled β€œArt Speaks. Holinians Stand.” The program gathered students from various departments, student leaders, faculty advisers, and school administrators in a public, on-campus activity held at the main campus lobby in Surallah, South Cotabato. The event formed part of the institution’s official participation in the nationwide observance led by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

The event centered on transforming advocacy into creative expression through student-produced traditional and digital posters that conveyed strong anti-hazing messages. Each artwork emphasized dignity, respect, and safety within student organizations, reinforcing that violence has no place in academic communities.

Featured in the activity were student artists and organization members, student affairs personnel, faculty advisers, and members of the administration who collectively affirmed the institution’s commitment to uphold student welfare. Their participation symbolized unity and shared responsibility in preventing hazing practices.

The program aimed to intensify awareness of anti-hazing laws, promote responsible leadership, and cultivate a culture of respect among student organizations. It reaffirmed compliance with Republic Act No. 11053 and Presidential Proclamation No. 907, emphasizing that hazing is a punishable offense and strictly prohibited within educational institutions.

The initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by promoting safe and inclusive learning environments, SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) by protecting students from physical and psychological harm, SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by strengthening lawful and transparent student governance, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration among administrators, faculty, student leaders, and national agencies in advancing a unified anti-hazing campaign.

By educating students about their rights and responsibilities, the event fosters a culture of accountability and compassion that influences not only campus organizations but also families and partner communities. Students who internalize these values carry them into future workplaces and civic engagements, contributing to safer institutions and more ethical leadership practices across different sectors of society.

Through art, dialogue, and collective action, the Holinian community demonstrated that advocacy is most powerful when expressed with unity and conviction. The activity further strengthened cooperation among student organizations, ensuring that policies on safety and responsible leadership are consistently practiced and sustained.

HCCCI continues to serve as a steadfast advocate of student welfare, responsible leadership, and violence-free campusesβ€”firm in its mission to build a community where every Holinian is protected, respected, and empowered.
