Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) further strengthened its engagement in community-based educational initiatives as Mrs. Juliet Arellano-Castañas, LPT, MAED, Head of the Center for Institutional Performance and Quality (CIPQ), served as a member of the Board of Judges during KALICAMPSAN 2026 on August 3, 2026, at La Palmera Mountain Ridges, Barangay Sucob, Columbio, Sultan Kudarat.

The activity formed part of the celebration of the 65th Founding Anniversary of the Municipality of Columbio and the 25th Kastifun Festival. It brought together students from participating public schools in competitions designed to encourage communication skills, critical thinking, creativity, and community-oriented action.

Among the competitions conducted were Extemporaneous Speaking, which featured 21 contestants from various public schools in Columbio, and Action Project Presentation, which involved seven participating public schools. These activities provided young participants with opportunities to express their ideas, demonstrate their knowledge, and present solutions and initiatives relevant to their communities.

As a member of the Board of Judges, Mrs. Arellano-Castañas evaluated the contestants and project presentations based on the established criteria. Her participation helped ensure that the assessment process was conducted fairly, objectively, and with careful consideration. She also took part in the validation of the final results and rankings, contributing to the integrity and credibility of the competition.

KALICAMPSAN 2026 was organized by the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of the Municipality of Columbio under the leadership of Mr. Lauro V. Domondon, Jr., MPA. The activity reflected the municipality’s efforts to provide meaningful platforms where young people could develop their skills while becoming more aware of their role in addressing community and environmental concerns.

For HCCCI, Mrs. Arellano-Castañas’ participation represented an opportunity for the institution’s academic professionals to contribute their expertise beyond the campus. Her involvement as a judge demonstrated how competencies in quality assurance, institutional performance, assessment, and educational development can support community-based programs that promote excellence and meaningful learning.
