To enrich classroom learning through real-life experiences, the Kindergarten Department will conduct the Lakbay Aral, Lakbay Bulilit program on Friday, February 6, 2026, in selected community sites within the Surallah area. Designed to support the developmental needs of young learners, the program provides meaningful and experiential learning opportunities beyond the four walls of the classroom. At this stage, children learn best through observation, interaction, and concrete experiences that nurture their natural curiosity.

As part of the activity, pupils will visit key community institutions such as the Municipal Hall, Police Station, Fire Station, Public Market, and a local Radio Station. These educational visits will allow pupils to observe firsthand how community helpers perform their roles and how essential services contribute to daily life and community well-being.

A special highlight of the program is the visit to the local Radio Station, where pupils will be introduced to basic concepts of communication and media. They will observe how announcements are delivered, how broadcasters work, and how radio serves as an important tool in informing and connecting the community.

The Lakbay Aral is intentionally planned to reinforce classroom lessons on community helpers, safety, governance, communication, and daily economic activities. Through guided interactions with community workers, pupils gain a deeper understanding of responsibility, cooperation, and service to the common good. More importantly, the program aims to instill values of respect, appreciation, discipline, and responsibility, while promoting social interaction, teamwork, and confidence in a safe and supportive environment.

The activity will be led by Principal Lowel D. Pasinag, LPT, MMEM, together with Kindergarten teachers Joy D. Jordan, LPT, and Mariel C. Dalipe, LPT. Medical and safety support will be provided by Nurse Anne Marsha Mission and Safety Officers Aljan B. Dapitan and Kirby Clem Bariega, with the participation of kindergarten pupils and their parents or guardians.

The school also acknowledges the invaluable support of local officials and community partners, including Hon. Pedro M. Matinong, Jr., Municipal Mayor of Surallah; Plt. Col. Lemuel Josef Jancon Clerete, COP; Finsp. Josiah A. Delmo, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal; and Dr. Edward Lovell B. Brillantes, President of South Cotabato State College.

The Lakbay Aral, Lakbay Bulilit program is aligned with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, as it promotes inclusive, equitable, and meaningful learning through experiential activities that support early childhood development. It also supports SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities by helping pupils understand how local institutions work together to maintain a safe, organized, and functional community. Furthermore, the program contributes to SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions by introducing pupils to public servants and institutions that uphold safety, governance, and public information, fostering early awareness of civic responsibility and trust in community systems.

Through the Lakbay Aral, Lakbay Bulilit program, learning truly comes alive as pupils discover their communityโ€”one meaningful experience at a time.
