The journey of Tutuldok: One Community at a Time reached another meaningful milestone as Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI), in close partnership with the Lions Club of Singapore Paterson (LCSP), brought its strengthened advocacy to Purok Parola, Sasa, Davao City on November 22, 2025.

What began last year as a humble yet powerful initiative in the indigenous communities of Lake Sebu and Tโ€™boli, South Cotabato, has now grown into a regional movement. The first implementation served families in geographically isolated areas, centering the voices and needs of the Tboli and other IP groups. This year, as Tutuldok expanded to Davao City, HCCCI and LCSP carried the same spiritโ€”service that is sincere, culturally sensitive, and rooted in listening to the people they serve.

Held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, the outreach provided immediate support to children, elderly residents, pregnant women, and vulnerable families. A total of 800 hot meals were personally handed to recipients, offering not just food but also the comfort of knowing that someone cared enough to show up. Another 200 families received gift packs containing essential goods such as rice, canned items, household necessities, and hygiene products. The effort remained simple but honest: to offer relief that respects dignity and supports daily survival.

Healthcare remained at the heart of the mission. Medical volunteers and partner organizations provided basic consultations, vision screenings, and health education, reinforcing the belief that access to healthcare should never depend on geography or income. For many beneficiaries, these checkups were their first in months, and the gratitude was evident in their stories and conversations. The outreach emphasized that even small medical interventions can have a life-changing impact when offered with empathy.

This activity demonstrated the steady evolution of a close partnership between international NGOs and local institutions through internationalizationโ€”bringing global support to localized outreach efforts and expanding them into broader regional commitments driven by trust, compassion, and collaboration. HCCCI played a central role, not only as a partner but as a key mover deeply invested in community upliftment. LCSP has also been a steadfast bearer of hope and love in community extension work. Their continued participation, generosity, and commitment to supporting underserved communities in the Philippines highlight the dedication of their founding members and their genuine heart for serviceโ€”making this community extension initiative in Davao not only possible but deeply impactful.

The institutionโ€™s leadership, faculty volunteers, and student representatives embodied HCCCIโ€™s mission to integrate education, service, and social responsibility. LCSPโ€™s unwavering support and international perspective further strengthened the mission, demonstrating how global solidarity can meaningfully uplift local communities.

The initiative aligned with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). It addressed immediate hunger, provided essential healthcare to underserved families, and reinforced that development is most sustainable when organizations unite toward a shared purpose.

The success of the Davao City outreach was made possible through the dedication and unity of all partners and sponsors, including Rell and Renn Fishing Corp., Lions Club of Singapore Paterson, Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc., Santo Niรฑo College Foundation, Inc., New Hope School of Agriculture and Fishery, Inc., the Philippine Air Force, Pocari Sweat, the Philippine Pharmacists Association, Inc., the Integrated Philippine Association of Optometrists, Inc., and the Barangay Local Government Unit of Sasa. Their cooperation ensured that services were delivered smoothly, safely, and with genuine respect for the community.

As Tutuldok continues to growโ€”from the mountains of Lake Sebu and Tboli to the coastal communities of Davao Cityโ€”the message remains clear: change begins with presence, compassion, and collective action. With HCCCI and LCSP working hand in hand, Tutuldok is no longer just an outreach program. It is becoming a regional movement of humanity, hope, and shared responsibilityโ€”one community at a time.
