Anchored on Tutuldok: One Community at a Time, the flagship community development advocacy of Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI), and reinforced by the Lions Club of Singapore Patersonโ€™s (LCSP) signature humanitarian program Bridges of Love, a unified outreach mission was implemented on November 20, 2025. Conducted onsite in the communities of Lower Malok and Purok Kulasi in Barangay Labangal, and Purok 8 in Barangay Bula, General Santos City, the event gathered volunteers from HCCCI, LCSP, local government units, civic organizations, and uniformed personnel in a strong display of multisectoral participation.

The outreach aimed to deliver essential social support to communities experiencing economic strain and limited access to basic necessities. It sought to provide immediate relief, restore dignity among vulnerable households, and encourage community resilience through thoughtful engagement and direct humanitarian assistance.

The mission was made possible through the participation of HCCCI administrators and student volunteers, members of the Lions Club of Singapore Paterson, Rell and Renn Fishing Corp., Santo Niรฑo College Foundation, New Hope School of Agriculture and Fishery, the Philippine Air Force, the Philippine National Police โ€“ General Santos City, and barangay officials from Labangal and Bula. Each partner fulfilled a vital role in logistics, implementation, and community interaction, ensuring the success of the activity.

The day commenced in Lower Malok, Labangal, where volunteers from HCCCI, LCSP, and partner groups distributed 400 hot meals and 200 gift packs containing food necessities and basic household items. Beneficiaries included children, senior citizens, pregnant women, single parents, and underserved individuals. This effort aligned with the unified vision of Tutuldok and Bridges of Loveโ€”to advance nourishment, dignity, and holistic well-being.

The mission then progressed to Purok Kulasi, a community burdened by socio-economic challenges and recent fire incidents that displaced several families. Volunteers extended support through relief packages, hygiene kits, and comfort items, prioritizing displaced households, elderly residents, children, and expectant mothers. This compassionate response exemplified the essence of Tutuldokโ€”empathy, solidarity, and service anchored in humanity.

Upon reaching Purok 8 in Barangay Bula, volunteers engaged residents in conversations focusing on resilience, empowerment, and collective recovery. The presence of uniformed personnel and partner institutions facilitated safe, orderly, and equitable implementation of assistance. This demonstrated that impactful outreach is strengthened by structured coordination and shared responsibility.

The initiative strongly aligned with several Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Each intervention targeted hunger reduction, improved access to essential resources, enhanced community stability, and strengthened collaborative partnerships.

By providing relief, fostering unity, and offering compassionate support, the outreach contributed to more adaptive and empowered communities. It promoted an environment where families can better recover from challenges and work toward sustained progress through shared effort, compassion, and cooperation.

Volunteers expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to serve, describing the experience as both inspiring and humbling. Beneficiaries conveyed heartfelt appreciation, noting that the support brought comfort and renewed hope during difficult times. The meaningful connections formed throughout the mission strengthened the resolve of all participants to continue uplifting communities.

Looking ahead, HCCCI and LCSP reaffirm their commitment to creating opportunities for service and empowerment, guided by the institutionโ€™s core values: Spiritual Growth, Teamwork and Creativity, Accountability and Discipline, Integrity and Trust, Reliability, and Serviceability and Social Responsibility. These principles will continue to shape future initiatives that prioritize compassion, collaboration, and community upliftment.

In sustaining this shared mission, HCCCI emerges as a steadfast advocateโ€”an institution that empowers, uplifts, and responds to the needs of the people with unwavering dedication. Alongside its partners, HCCCI stands as a driving force for meaningful change, nurturing communities through purposeful action and heartfelt service.
