Holy Child Central Colleges Inc. proudly celebrates a meaningful achievement as Mark Laurรจnce J. Fano, Dean of the College of Teacher Education, was recognized as one of six distinguished recipients of a Plaque of Appreciation from the Private Education Assistance Committee.

The certificate was formally awarded by Rhodora Angela F. Ferrer, PhD, Executive Director of PEAC, during a ceremony held on February 21, 2026, at the Quest Plus Conference Center Manila in Muntinlupa City.

The plaque honors Dean Fanoโ€™s five years of dedicated service as a Trainer in the In Service Training INSET program, a nationwide initiative aimed at improving private schools across the country. For him, this recognition represents years of quiet commitment to helping fellow educators grow in their profession.

Over the past five years, he has devoted his time and expertise to conducting training sessions, mentoring school leaders, and guiding teachers toward more effective and responsive teaching practices. His work goes beyond lectures and workshops. It is about sharing experiences, listening to challenges, and helping schools implement practical strategies to improve instruction and leadership. Through these efforts, he has contributed to raising the standards of private education and strengthening learning environments for countless students.

This recognition also brings pride and meaningful benefits to the HCCCI community. Through his involvement in INSET, Dean Fano gains valuable insights, updated strategies, and collaborative experiences that he brings back to the institution. Faculty members benefit from enhanced teaching approaches and strengthened academic systems while students experience more engaging instruction and improved academic support. His service reinforces HCCCIโ€™s reputation as a college actively participating in national efforts to uplift education.

At its core, the In Service Training program is about empowerment. It encourages educators to reflect, adapt, and innovate. Dean Fanoโ€™s role in this program reflects his belief that when teachers are supported and inspired, schools grow stronger and learners thrive.

This achievement aligns closely with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. His work supports SDG 4 Quality Education by promoting continuous professional development and high standards in teaching and learning. It contributes to SDG 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth by equipping educators who shape future professionals. It reinforces SDG 16 Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions by promoting accountability and quality systems in schools. Above all, it embodies SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals, as the INSET program relies on collaboration among institutions, education leaders, and organizations committed to improving private education nationwide.

As Holy Child Central Colleges Inc. celebrates this milestone, it honors not just an award but a story of dedication and service. Dean Mark Laurรจnce J. Fanoโ€™s five years in the In Service Training program remind the community that meaningful change in education begins with educators willing to guide, uplift, and grow alongside others.
