Three Bachelor of Science in Accountancy students from Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) have gained international recognition after their entry to the Human Rights Prize 2026 was officially accepted by the Federation for European Education (FEDE). The studentsโHeart Angel Sabando, Andrea Vicente, and Abby Lyn Pamonagโsubmitted their work as part of the international initiative connected to the Human Rights Prize scheduled for April 22โ23, 2026 in Marrakech, Morocco.
Their accepted entry marks a meaningful academic milestone for the institution, as HCCCI is the only school from the Philippines whose student submission was recognized in this yearโs edition of the Human Rights Prize. The recognition reflects the capacity of HCCCI students to engage with global conversations surrounding human rights and social responsibility.
The Human Rights Prize, organized by the Federation for European Education (FEDE), brings together student perspectives from various parts of the world that aim to promote awareness, dialogue, and initiatives supporting the protection and advancement of human rights. Through their accepted entry, the three HCCCI students demonstrated thoughtful engagement with current human rights issues and highlighted the role that young leaders can play in promoting ethical and socially responsible perspectives.
The initiative associated with the Human Rights Prize also provides an international platform where students, educators, and institutions share ideas and perspectives on global human rights concerns. It highlights how academic contributions from students can help encourage awareness, collaboration, and deeper understanding of issues affecting communities worldwide.
For HCCCI, this recognition reflects the institutionโs continuing commitment to encouraging students to participate in international academic engagements and initiatives. It also illustrates how students in fields such as accountancy can contribute to broader discussions on ethics, governance, and social responsibility.
The recognition likewise aligns with the vision of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)โall of which emphasize inclusive education, global collaboration, and stronger advocacy for human rights.
Through this recognition, Sabando, Vicente, and Pamonag bring honor to the HCCCI community while demonstrating how Filipino students can contribute meaningful perspectives to international academic initiatives focused on human rights and global development.
