The Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) Basic Education DepartmentโElementary proudly participated in the State of the Childrenโs Address (SOCA) and Childrenโs Congress held on November 24, 2025, at the Municipal Gymnasium, marking the celebration of the 33rd National Childrenโs Month. Organized by the Local Government of Surallah together with national and regional partners, the event placed strong emphasis on advancing the rights, protection, development, and participation of children across the municipality.
HCCCIโs elementary learners and faculty attended the program with great enthusiasm, reflecting the institutionโs dedication to ensuring that young students are exposed to meaningful community engagements. Their participation highlighted the schoolโs commitment to nurturing confident, responsible, and globally conscious learners who understand their role in nation-building. Throughout the congress, children were encouraged to voice their insights on important issues related to education, safety, health, and overall well-beingโaffirming that they are not just recipients of societal decisions but active contributors to community development.

The event strongly resonated with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly the goal of Quality Education, as it provided children with an enriching environment that supports learning beyond the classroom and promotes values such as leadership, empathy, and civic responsibility. It also aligned with Good Health and Well-Being by creating a safe, supportive, and joyful space where children could participate freely. In addition, the program advanced Reduced Inequalities by ensuring that children from various backgrounds had equal opportunities to join the discussions and activities. The congress further supported Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions by fostering dialogue between young citizens and local leaders, strengthening trust, and encouraging child participation in community decision-making.
The atmosphere throughout the event was filled with celebration, excitement, and optimism. Children showcased their talents, interacted with public officials, and learned more about the initiatives designed to uplift and protect them. HCCCIโs involvement demonstrated its unwavering support for programs that champion childrenโs rights and development, reaffirming that every child deserves opportunities that will empower them to shape a brighter and more sustainable future.
