The Basic Education Department of Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) humbly celebrates the remarkable achievements of its young student-athletes who gave their best in the recent Municipal Meet. Their determination, discipline, and perseverance have brought them success and, more importantly, meaningful lessons they will carry forward in both sports and life. These victories are not just about medals, they are stories of dreams, values, and the collective support of family, coaches, and community.

At the forefront is Reyan Jay Pamplona (Grade 5), who displayed exceptional skill and focus in badminton, earning the Gold Medal in the Elementary Division. Reyan Jay’s journey is one of quiet determination. With every swing of the racket, he reminds us that discipline and focus can turn small beginnings into great triumphs. His coach, Mr. Kent Jhon C. Deita, has been more than a trainer; he has been a guide who taught Reyan Jay that winning comes not just from strength but also from patience, respect, and humility. Reyan Jay dreams of inspiring other children to find joy in sports, proving that with perseverance, even the youngest athletes can shine brightly.

In taekwondo, Lance Andrace M. Togonon (Grade 6) showed courage and resilience, earning the Gold Medal in the Elementary Division. What shines most in his journey is not just the medal itself, but the discipline, commitment, and determination he displayed in preparing for the competition. Under the dedicated mentorship of his coach, Mr. Aljan Dapitan, Lance has embraced the true spirit of martial arts—learning that success is built on respect, perseverance, and self-discipline. His story reminds us that being an athlete is not only about the matches fought, but also about the values nurtured, the skills sharpened, and the humility carried along the way.

Adding to this roster of promising young athletes is Cayleight Brielle I. Leonora (Grade 2), who made her mark in swimming by qualifying for the Provincial Meet. Still very young, Cayleight Brielle shows remarkable determination each time she dives into the pool. Her coach, Ms. Melanie Frondozo, has guided her with patience, helping her discover the confidence to embrace challenges one lap at a time. What inspires Cayleight Brielle most is not just the chance to compete, but the joy of learning and improving. For her, swimming is more than sport — it is a way of building courage, self-belief, and a reminder that growth comes in steady strokes.
