Koronadal City โ Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) actively participated in the Regional Conference of Private Education Institutions (PEIs) organized by the Department of Education (DepEd) SOCCSKSARGEN Region on September 23โ24, 2025, at The Farm @ Carpenter Hill, Koronadal City. The institution was represented by Lowel D. Pasinag, LPT, MMEM, Basic Education Principal, and John Rey Tresbe, LPT, Junior and Senior High School Coordinator.
The conference gathered division superintendents, administrators, and private school leaders from central offices and across the region to discuss the Revised K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum and related policy updates. The event was opened by Ms. Kathrine H. Lotilla, CAO/OIC-ARD, followed by Director IV Carlito D. Rocafort, who emphasized the Quality Basic Education Development Plan (QBEDP) and the Department of Educationโs 5-Point Reform Agenda.
Day 1 featured discussions on the critical role of private education in national development with Vernice Lorraine D. Quintana, Director III of the DepEd Private Education Office, alongside updates on the Revised MATATAG Curriculum and assessment frameworks led by regional education specialists. Sessions also included strengthening the Senior High School curriculum to ensure its relevance to current demands.
Day 2 focused on operational and regulatory matters vital to private education institutions. Topics included the Expanded Facilitative Accessible Streamlined and Time-bound Application for Permit Process (e-FAST APP), updates on tuition fee increases, endorsement procedures, school closure processes, and steps for adding Senior High School specializations or renaming schools. The program concluded with a plenary session and closing ceremonies organized by the Quality Assurance Division.
For HCCCI, attendance at this regional conference is vital to ensuring the institution remains aligned with national education policies and reforms. Active engagement allows HCCCI to strengthen its commitment to the K to 12 program, the official curriculum of the Philippines that defines the structure and standards of basic education. By participating in sessions that clarify new processes, curriculum revisions, and compliance measures, HCCCI ensures its learners benefit from quality instruction that is both nationally compliant and globally competitive. This participation also enables HCCCI to collaborate closely with DepEd and other private institutions in advancing the long-term success of the K to 12 program in the region.
This commitment also reflects the values of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By maintaining high standards in teaching and learning, HCCCI contributes to SDG 4: Quality Education. By supporting improvements in systems and processes that ensure efficiency and inclusivity in private education, the institution helps advance SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities. And through its continuous partnership with DepEd and other schools, HCCCI upholds SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
The presence of the schoolโs principal and junior high school/senior high school coordinator highlighted HCCCIโs proactive role in education development, ensuring that the institution not only complies with national policies but also actively contributes to shaping a strong, future-ready foundation for Filipino learners under the K to 12 curriculum. With its dedication to innovation, alignment, and collaboration, HCCCI reaffirms its mission of empowering students and building brighter futures for communities in Mindanao and beyond.
As part of its ongoing commitment to change and educational innovation, HCCCI is also preparing to integrate robotics into its learning journey. This initiative will provide students with hands-on experience in technology and problem-solving, ensuring they are equipped with future-ready skills while keeping aligned with the curriculum and national education standards. Through this step, HCCCI continues to embrace transformative learning approaches that empower learners to become globally competent, values-driven, and resilient contributors to nation-building.
Looking ahead, HCCCI envisions the coming years as a period of bold innovation and progress, where the integration of robotics and other advanced learning strategies will further strengthen its role as a trailblazer in quality education in SOCCSKSARGEN and beyond.
