Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) held its Free Semestral Medical and Dental Check-Up on February 12โ13, 2026, at the school clinic. The campus-based initiative was attended by college students from various departments and facilitated by school health personnel, ensuring that learners had accessible and cost-free healthcare services within the institution.
The program focused on promoting the overall health and wellness of students through preventive healthcare services offered free of charge. These included medical and dental assessments, professional consultations, and practical guidance on maintaining proper health and hygiene practices to support studentsโ academic performance and daily well-being.
The activity was supervised by School Nurse Mayflor B. Silva, RN, MN, with support from Nicole Jenne Castaรฑares Tan, M.D., school physician, and Fely Dogoldogol, D.D.M., school dentist. Faculty members and department staff also assisted in ensuring the smooth and organized implementation of the two-day activity.
Aside from general physical examinations and health assessments, students received oral examinations and free oral health consultations, where proper brushing techniques, preventive dental care, and personalized advice were provided. Those who required further medical or dental attention were given appropriate recommendations for follow-up care, reinforcing early detection and preventive healthcare.
The Semestral Medical and Dental Check-Up aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals. It supports SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by delivering preventive healthcare services, SDG 4: Quality Education by helping maintain studentsโ physical readiness for learning, and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities by ensuring equal access to free health services. The initiative also reflects SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, as collaboration among school administrators, healthcare professionals, and faculty members strengthened the delivery of comprehensive student care.
Through this initiative, the institution helps cultivate a health-conscious academic environment where preventive care is prioritized, encouraging responsible health practices that benefit families and communities beyond the campus.
HCCCI continues to advance student wellness and preventive healthcare by making essential services accessible and free, reinforcing its commitment to nurturing healthy, empowered, and future-ready learners.
