On August 28, 2025, Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) reaffirmed its commitment to international collaboration and academeโindustry synergy during a courtesy visit to the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XII (CHEDRO XII). The delegation was warmly welcomed by the office of Regional Director Rody P. Garcia, MDM, JD, Ed.D., through Dr. Zohrahaydah N. Panawidan, OICโChief Education Program Specialist, and Mr. Janreve M. Odango, Project Technical Staff III (TNHE).
Joining the HCCCI team were visiting professors from Malaysia, Prof. Dr. Abdul Razak Abdul Hadi and Tn. Haji Iskandar Bacha Kader Gani, whose presence highlighted the growing spirit of ASEAN academic cooperation. Their lectures at HCCCI offered fresh insights on business, intercultural leadership, and industry practices, giving students and faculty a broader understanding of ASEANโs vision for collective growth through education.
Prof. Dr. Abdul Razak Abdul Hadi delivered a thought-provoking lecture on โThe Future of ASEAN in the Global Market.โ His discussion underscored ASEANโs growing role in international trade, innovation, and sustainable development, while also emphasizing the importance of regional cooperation in addressing global challenges. For HCCCI students, the lecture was an eye-opener, inspiring them to think beyond local and national perspectives and envision themselves as active contributors in a globally interconnected economy. It also instilled confidence in their potential to thrive in a competitive environment where ASEAN values of inclusivity, collaboration, and adaptability are crucial.
Representing HCCCI were Mx. Jack Robin A. Lacerna, MMEM, International Relations & Linkages Officer; Ms. Neressa M. Montejo, MBA, CHRA, CFMP, Program Head for Business; and Ms. Stephany A. Domingo, LPT, HALI Coordinator. Together, they engaged in an open dialogue with CHEDRO XII officials, underscoring how ASEAN-centered exchanges can further enhance student competencies, strengthen industry alignment, and reinforce a shared regional identity in higher education.
The courtesy visit highlighted the long-term value of embedding ASEAN and internationalization perspectives into both academic and co-curricular programs at HCCCI. Such efforts ensure that its students are not only prepared for local opportunities but are also regionally competitive and globally adaptable, directly supporting ASEANโs mission of building a people-centered, connected, and prosperous community.
