Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) continues to strengthen its internationalization efforts as Dr. Erwin M. Faller, Academic Director and recipient of the 2026โ€“2027 Naveen Jindal Young Global Research Fellowship, successfully concluded his official academic engagement last June 9-July 9, 2026 at OP Jindal Global Universityย in India. Through the University's Transnational Exchange Program, "Appreciating Pluralism: Advancing Education Beyond Borders," Dr. Faller represented HCCCI in fostering international collaboration, sharing academic expertise, and building relationships that support research, innovation, and global learning. His participation reflects the College's continuing commitment to creating opportunities that connect Holinians with the international academic community.

A significant outcome of the fellowship was the initiation of five Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) with higher education institutions from the United Kingdom, Indonesia and Srilanka, . These partnerships, which include the University of Southampton in the United Kingdom, IVET University in Indonesia, the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in Sri Lanka, and other international institutions, are intended to promote collaboration in research, academic exchanges, and institutional development. The agreements have already been endorsed to the HCCCI International Relations and External Linkages Office for processing, marking another step toward expanding the College's global network.

The exchange formally commenced with an opening ceremony highlighting the shared commitment of participating institutions to international cooperation and intercultural understanding.ย The opening ceremony reflected the spirit of friendship and international cooperation through the singing of the national anthems of India and the Philippines, followed by presentations introducing the achievements, academic strengths, and shared aspirations of both OP Jindal Global University and Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc.

The program also featured messages from university officials representing the Centre for Capacity Building and Human Resource Development (CCHRD), the Bhฤratฤซya Vivek Peeth: Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), and the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor. Their presentations underscored the importance of international partnerships, holistic education, capacity building, and the integration of diverse knowledge systems in preparing students for an increasingly interconnected world.

As one of the invited speakers, Dr. Faller delivered a lecture entitled "Cross-Cultural Communication and Global Academic Relationship," where he shared insights on building meaningful international academic partnerships and fostering intercultural understanding. He emphasized the value of collaboration among higher education institutions in creating learning environments that encourage innovation, mutual respect, and the exchange of ideas across cultures.

The visit also provided an opportunity to experience India's rich cultural heritage through performances such as the traditional Chhau Dance of Jharkhand. Meaningful conversations with faculty members and students, along with a guided tour of OP Jindal Global Universityโ€™s academic departments, laboratories, and innovation centers, further enriched the exchange and opened doors for future academic collaboration.

Dr. Faller's participation in the Global Research Fellowship highlights HCCCI's continuing efforts to engage with the global academic community. Beyond establishing institutional partnerships, the fellowship created opportunities to exchange knowledge, strengthen professional networks, and explore new areas for collaboration that can contribute to the growth of the College and its stakeholders.

The fellowship advances HCCCI's commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), by promoting quality education through international collaboration, innovation, and strong academic partnerships.

Moving forward, HCCCI will continue to strengthen its collaboration with OP Jindal Global University and its international partner institutions by pursuing opportunities for collaborative research, faculty and student exchanges, Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) initiatives, joint academic projects, and other capacity-building activities. Through these continuing partnerships, the institution hopes to create more meaningful learning opportunities for the Holinian community, broaden global perspectives, and further strengthen its commitment to academic excellence, international cooperation, and lifelong learning.
