Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) further strengthened its longstanding academic partnership with the Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (UniKL MIIT) through an institutional visit held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on July 7, 2027. The engagement built on previous academic exchanges and collaborations with Prof. Dr. Abdul Razak Abdul Hadi, Visiting Professor, reaffirming both institutions’ commitment to sustained international cooperation. 

The visit marked another significant milestone in the continuing relationship between HCCCI and UniKL MIIT. Having previously collaborated through various academic engagements with Prof. Abdul, both institutions utilized the visit to reaffirm their shared vision of advancing internationalization, strengthening institutional linkages, and creating sustainable partnerships that benefit students, faculty members, researchers, and the broader academic community.

Representing HCCCI were Vanessa Marie L. Antiquin, MMEM, Executive Vice President of Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc., and Dr. Erwin M. Faller, Academic Director. Joining the HCCCI delegation as witness was Mr. Carlo B. Ebeo, Member of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum of the Philippines. The delegation was warmly welcomed by the UniKL MIIT leadership headed by Dr. Prof. Abdul Razak Abdul Hadi, Visiting Professor; Dr. Azizan Mohamed Isa, Dean and Head of Campus; Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Bazilah A. Talip, Deputy Dean; Dr. Shafiza Binti Mohd. Shariff, Deputy Dean for Academic and Technology; and Dr. Nurashikin Saaludin, Head and Senior Lecturer of the Research and Innovation Section and Artificial Intelligence Section.

During the meeting, both institutions revisited the achievements of their previous collaborations and explored strategies for expanding their partnership into new areas of mutual interest. Discussions centered on strengthening student and faculty mobility, Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), joint research and publications, innovation-driven academic programs, faculty development initiatives, industry engagement, and collaborative projects in information technology and artificial intelligence. The dialogue also emphasized creating sustainable mechanisms that will enable both institutions to translate shared ideas into impactful academic initiatives.

The discussions reflected the strong foundation of trust and mutual respect that has been cultivated through HCCCI’s longstanding partnership with Prof. Abdul Razak Abdul Hadi and UniKL MIIT. Rather than serving as an initial introduction, the visit reinforced an already established relationship while opening new opportunities for deeper collaboration aligned with the strategic priorities of both institutions.

The engagement supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education by promoting inclusive and high-quality learning through international academic collaboration. It likewise advances SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure by encouraging research, technological innovation, and interdisciplinary partnerships in emerging fields. Furthermore, the visit strengthens SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through sustained institutional cooperation, knowledge exchange, and collaborative initiatives that contribute to global higher education.

Beyond institutional collaboration, the visit highlighted the importance of maintaining enduring international partnerships that continuously evolve to meet the changing demands of higher education. By sharing best practices, exchanging expertise, and identifying complementary institutional strengths, HCCCI and UniKL MIIT reaffirmed their commitment to fostering innovation, academic excellence, and globally relevant education.

Both institutions expressed optimism for the future of their partnership and recognized the visit as an important step toward expanding collaborative programs, increasing academic mobility, strengthening research cooperation, and pursuing initiatives that create meaningful impact for their respective academic communities. The continued engagement also reflects the mutual confidence developed through years of collaboration and shared commitment to internationalization.
