After the enriching experience at the European Association for International Education (EAIE) Conference, the delegation of Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) continued their international engagement with a visit to Stockholm, Sweden. There, they had the distinct honor of meeting with His Excellency Patrick A. Chuasoto, Philippine Ambassador to Sweden, together with Mr. Pat Lester F. Solosa, Second Secretary and Consul of the Philippine Embassy under the Department of Foreign Affairs.

The visit became a meaningful occasion to express the institution’s commitment to expanding its global reach while remaining deeply connected to the Philippine identity. Ambassador Chuasoto warmly received the delegation and generously shared insights on the lives of Filipinos in Sweden, highlighting their resilience, contributions, and ability to thrive in a diverse and progressive society. He also reflected on how institutions like HCCCI can continue to build meaningful connections with both universities and Filipino communities abroad, strengthening academic and cultural exchanges that create long-lasting impact.

In these conversations, opportunities for future collaborations were explored, particularly in areas of faculty and student exchanges, research initiatives, and community partnerships. The dialogue underscored the importance of international linkages in advancing inclusive and transformative education. For HCCCI, these exchanges are not only about broadening horizons but also about uplifting students from Mindanao, including indigenous learners, by giving them access to international platforms and experiences.

The delegation, composed of Ms. Vanessa Marie L. Antiquin, MMEM, Executive Vice President; Dr. Erwin M. Faller, Academic Director; and Mr. Roelof van Buren, Europe-based International Relations Officer, emphasized that HCCCI’s vision for internationalization is firmly anchored in the Sustainable Development Goals. The pursuit of quality education, reduced inequalities, and strengthened partnerships were at the heart of the conversations, aligning with SDG 4, SDG 10, and SDG 17.

The visit reaffirmed the institution’s mission to transform education into a bridge that connects cultures, empowers communities, and prepares learners to thrive on a global stage.

Through this courtesy call, HCCCI took another significant step in reinforcing its role as a dynamic institution that values both tradition and innovation. With the support of the Philippine Embassy in Sweden, the institution looks forward to future collaborations that will bring new opportunities for its faculty and students, while also fostering stronger bonds between the Philippines and the global academic community.
