Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) strengthened its commitment to global engagement and internationalization as Dr. Erwin M. Faller, Academic Director, served as a keynote speaker during the commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of U.S.–Philippines Diplomatic Relations and the America250 Celebration, marking the 250th anniversary of American independence. Held on July 18, 2026, at Ateneo de Davao University, the event convened educators, diplomats, students, academic leaders, and international partners to celebrate the enduring relationship between the Philippines and the United States while exploring the transformative role of education in fostering international understanding and cooperation.

The commemorative gathering reflected on eight decades of diplomatic relations founded on shared values, mutual respect, and collaboration across education, culture, innovation, and people-to-people exchanges. Beyond commemorating a historic milestone, the program encouraged participants to examine how higher education institutions could continue advancing intercultural dialogue, academic collaboration, responsible global citizenship, and sustainable partnerships in an increasingly interconnected world.

Representing HCCCI, Dr. Faller delivered a keynote address highlighting the transformative power of education in connecting people, cultures, and communities across national boundaries. He emphasized that education extends beyond the classroom by serving as a bridge for empathy, meaningful dialogue, and mutual understanding while preparing future leaders to address global and local challenges with competence, compassion, and a spirit of service. He likewise underscored that internationalization is most meaningful when it creates opportunities for reciprocal learning, collaborative innovation, and shared growth among institutions and communities.
