Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI), through its Community Extension Services Office, successfully conducted a Holinian Cares: School Supplies Distribution Program on June 26, 2026, at Tdaan Leteng Elementary School in Sitio Tdaan Leteng, Barangay Kematu, Tboli, South Cotabato. The face-to-face outreach activity brought together faculty and staff, student leaders, and institutional partners in a shared effort to provide essential school supplies to young learners and promote educational opportunities for children in underserved communities.

The Holinian Cares: School Supplies Distribution Program is a community outreach initiative that reflects HCCCI's mission to reach communities, build hope, and help transform lives through meaningful service. By providing learners with notebooks, writing materials, and other basic school supplies, the program aims to ease the financial burden on families while encouraging children to pursue their education with confidence and enthusiasm. More than an act of giving, the initiative embodies the institution's commitment to compassion, solidarity, and social responsibility.

The success of the outreach program was made possible through the collaborative efforts of various offices and organizations within the institution. The Community Extension Services Office spearheaded the activity with the invaluable support of the DSAS Coordinators, the Supreme Student Council Officers under the leadership of Sir Mark Laurence Fano and Sir John Lucas Frac, and the Center for Institutional Performance and Quality Office, represented by Ma'am Juliet Castañas. Their dedication, together with the commitment of Holinian volunteers, demonstrated the institution's culture of service and collaboration.

During the activity, volunteers personally distributed school supplies to the learners of Tdaan Leteng Elementary School while engaging with the children, teachers, and members of the school community. The outreach provided not only educational materials but also words of encouragement that inspired learners to value their education and continue striving toward their aspirations. Through meaningful interactions, the program fostered a sense of belonging, hope, and mutual support, reflecting HCCCI's commitment to empowering learners through education and compassionate service.

The School Supplies Distribution Program contributes to the achievement of several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It primarily advances SDG 4: Quality Education by equipping learners with essential school supplies that support equitable access to learning and improve their readiness for the academic year. The initiative also contributes to SDG 1: No Poverty by helping reduce the financial burden on economically disadvantaged families, allowing them to allocate limited resources to other household necessities. Through its support for children's education and emotional encouragement, the program promotes SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, recognizing that access to learning resources can enhance students' confidence, motivation, and overall well-being. Furthermore, the outreach advances SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities by extending educational assistance to underserved Indigenous learners and helping bridge gaps in educational opportunities. The collaborative efforts of HCCCI offices, student organizations, faculty members, staff, and volunteers also demonstrate SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, highlighting the importance of collective action in delivering sustainable and meaningful community development initiatives.

Beyond providing school supplies, the outreach strengthened relationships between HCCCI and its partner communities while cultivating volunteerism, empathy, and social responsibility among Holinian servant-leaders. By encouraging individuals to share their time, skills, and resources for the benefit of others, the program fosters a culture of service that empowers communities, inspires educational aspirations, and creates lasting opportunities for growth and development.

The outreach activity left a meaningful impact on both the beneficiaries and the volunteers. For the learners and their families, the school supplies represented encouragement and hope as they prepared for a new academic year. For the Holinian volunteers, faculty, staff, and partners, the experience reaffirmed that genuine service is measured not only by the assistance provided but also by the positive relationships built and the lives touched through compassion and solidarity.

Through initiatives such as the School Supplies Distribution Program, Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. continues to be a leading advocate for inclusive education, community engagement, and sustainable development. By transforming compassion into meaningful action and fostering partnerships that create opportunities for every learner, HCCCI remains committed to empowering communities and nurturing a future where education becomes a pathway to hope, dignity, and lasting positive change.
