Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) officially arrived in Bandung, Indonesia, on August 23, 2026, ahead of the 4th UNISBA Global Student Motion (UGEO) 2026, hosted by Universitas Islam Bandung (UNISBA) from August 24 to 29, 2026. The international student mobility program brings together students from different countries for an enriching experience centered on academic exchange, cultural immersion, intercultural learning, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Representing HCCCI in the international program are four students from different academic levels and disciplines: Jacky E. Caro, a second-year Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management student; Elen May T. Ugal, a third-year Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy student; Clanther John C. Rios, a second-year Bachelor of Science in Information Technology student; and Xhyryll Jay C. Bago, a Grade 11 STEM student. The delegation is accompanied by Mark Laurence J. Fano, LPT, MALT, CHRA, Director of the Department of Student Affairs Services, who will provide guidance and support throughout the students’ participation.

The 4th UNISBA Global Student Motion (UGEO) 2026 provides a dynamic platform for students to engage in academic discussions, interact with international peers, experience Indonesian culture, and develop a deeper understanding of global issues. Hosted at Universitas Islam Bandung, the program creates opportunities for participants to learn beyond their respective classrooms while building meaningful connections with students from diverse backgrounds.

One of the major components of the program is the Youth Perspectives on the Sustainable Development Goals, which provides students with an academic forum to share perspectives and presentations on global development issues. Through this component, participants are encouraged to reflect on the role of young people in advancing sustainable development and to contribute their own ideas and experiences to international conversations.

The program also features Discover Campus Life at UNISBA, providing participants with opportunities to explore the university environment, interact with local students, and gain insights into higher education in Indonesia. Such interactions allow students to experience another academic setting firsthand while encouraging knowledge exchange and mutual understanding among participating institutions.

Beyond the academic activities, UGEO 2026 offers participants an opportunity to experience Sundanese heritage and culture. Through cultural immersion activities, HCCCI delegates can gain a deeper appreciation of Indonesia’s traditions, identity, and cultural diversity while also sharing aspects of Philippine culture with their international peers.

The program further includes an Adventure Day in Pangalengan, featuring outdoor activities such as rafting and off-road experiences. These activities complement the academic and cultural components of the program by encouraging teamwork, adaptability, communication, and camaraderie among participating students.

For the HCCCI delegation, participation in UGEO 2026 represents more than an opportunity to travel abroad. It provides a meaningful avenue for students to develop global competencies, intercultural awareness, communication skills, adaptability, leadership, and international networks while engaging with peers from different cultural and academic backgrounds.

The diversity of the HCCCI delegation—from Business Administration and Pharmacy to Information Technology and Senior High School STEM—also reflects the institution’s continuing effort to make internationalization accessible across different disciplines and educational levels. By bringing students from varied fields into an international learning environment, HCCCI demonstrates that global education can complement diverse academic pathways and prepare learners for increasingly interconnected professional environments.

The experience likewise provides HCCCI students with an opportunity to serve as ambassadors of their institution, communities, and country. While learning about Indonesian and other participating cultures, the delegates can also share Philippine perspectives, traditions, experiences, and values, contributing to the mutual exchange that lies at the heart of international student mobility.

The participation of HCCCI in UGEO 2026 forms part of the institution’s continuing commitment to internationalization, student mobility, and global learning. Through partnerships and international programs, HCCCI continues to create opportunities where students can experience education beyond geographical boundaries and develop the confidence and competencies needed to participate meaningfully in the global community.

The program strongly supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education by providing students with meaningful international and intercultural learning experiences. It also contributes to SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities by creating opportunities for students from diverse educational and social backgrounds to participate in global learning experiences, while advancing SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through international academic cooperation, student exchange, and people-to-people connections.

As the 4th UNISBA Global Student Motion officially begins, the arrival of the HCCCI delegation marks the start of a week of academic exchange, cultural discovery, international collaboration, and student development in Bandung, Indonesia.
