Clanther John C. Rios, a second-year Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) student of Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI), received the All-Rounder Participant Award during the 4th UNISBA Global Student Motion (UGEO) 2026 in Bandung, Indonesia. Hosted by Universitas Islam Bandung (UNISBA), UGEO 2026 brought together students from different countries for academic exchange, cultural immersion, and global engagement. Rios represented HCCCI throughout the program, actively participating in academic sessions, collaborative activities, campus engagements, and cultural exchanges.

His involvement provided opportunities to exchange ideas with international peers, experience diverse perspectives, and develop greater intercultural understanding. As an aspiring IT professional, the experience also allowed him to appreciate how technology can facilitate communication, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing across borders. The All-Rounder Participant Award recognized Rios’ active and versatile participation throughout the program. His engagement across its academic, cultural, and collaborative activities demonstrated his adaptability, teamwork, communication, and willingness to contribute to an international learning community.

Beyond the recognition, the experience strengthened competencies that complement his technical preparation as an IT student. Working with participants from different backgrounds challenged him to communicate effectively, collaborate across cultures, adapt to unfamiliar environments, and approach learning from broader perspectives. Rios’ participation reflects HCCCI’s continuing commitment to internationalization and holistic student development. Through international mobility opportunities, the institution enables students to complement classroom learning with experiences that develop global awareness, intercultural competence, and professional readiness. The engagement contributes to SDG 4: Quality Education through experiential international learning; SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities through inclusive intercultural participation; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through international student collaboration and people-to-people connections.
