Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) continued to strengthen its commitment to educational excellence and internationalization as John Rey A. Tresbe, LPT, Senior High School (SHS) Academic Coordinator, participated in the second day of the PEACโNUS Executive Education Program, โTransforming Philippine Education through Effective Policy Reformsโ, held on July 9, 2026, at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (NUS).

Organized by the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) in partnership with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, the executive program equipped Philippine education leaders with strategic insights, evidence-based practices, and global perspectives to strengthen educational leadership, governance, and institutional transformation in response to the evolving demands of 21st-century education.
The second day featured insightful discussions on Education Policy Making in Singapore, where participants examined the country's internationally recognized education system, governance framework, and evidence-based policymaking processes. The session highlighted how strategic planning, continuous curriculum enhancement, stakeholder engagement, and data-informed decision-making have enabled Singapore to develop a responsive, innovative, and future-ready education system.

Another key session explored Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET): Experiences from Singapore, emphasizing the successful integration of education and industry through competency-based learning, workforce development, and strong employer partnerships. Participants gained valuable insights into how industry-responsive education promotes lifelong learning, innovation, employability, and national competitiveness.
A major highlight of the day was the Learning Journey to Temasek Polytechnic, where participants experienced firsthand a recognized institution in practice-oriented and technology-driven education.ย The visit showcased innovative teaching methodologies, smart learning environments, applied research initiatives, and strong industry-academe collaboration, providing practical ideas that can help strengthen HCCCI's own educational initiatives.
Mr. Tresbe's participation reflects HCCCI's continuing investment in developing globally competent academic leaders. The knowledge and best practices gained from Singapore's education policies, TVET framework, and innovative institutional approaches are expected to enhance instructional leadership, curriculum development, institutional planning, and the overall quality of education at HCCCI.

The executive education program also advanced several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It promoted SDG 4: Quality Education by strengthening educational leadership and encouraging innovative, inclusive, and learner-centered teaching practices. It supported SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth through discussions on workforce development and industry-responsive education, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure by showcasing technology-enabled learning and innovation-driven educational systems, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by fostering international collaboration, knowledge exchange, and partnerships among educational leaders.

Through continued participation in internationally recognized executive education programs, HCCCI reinforces its vision of providing transformative, innovative, and globally relevant education while empowering its academic leaders with international perspectives that contribute to the continuous advancement of Philippine education.
