The Basic Education Department of Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) proudly participated in the National Seminar-Workshop in Early Childhood Education for Child Development Teachers/Workers and Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teachers and Leaders held from May 18 to 20, 2026, at the Andarizal Center Building in Davao City. Centered on the theme, โEngage, Explore, Excel: Dynamic Teaching Approaches for Curriculum Success,โ the seminar-workshop gathered educators, academic leaders, and practitioners committed to advancing innovative, learner-centered, and developmentally appropriate approaches in early childhood education.

Representing HCCCI was Joy Ducado Jordan, LPT, from the Basic Education Department. Who actively participated in the three-day learning engagement through lectures, workshops, collaborative discussions, and interactive sessions focused on enhancing instructional strategies and leadership practices in early childhood education. Her participation reflects HCCCIโs continued commitment to professional growth, instructional excellence, and the promotion of holistic child development.

The seminar-workshop was spearheaded by Dr. Franklin B. Dayata and Bernadette E. Calvo, LPT, PhD, Ed.D, ECE, in partnership with the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP). The activity equipped participants with updated pedagogical knowledge, practical teaching methodologies, and innovative classroom strategies aimed at improving curriculum delivery, learner engagement, and educational leadership in the field of early childhood education.

Through the seminar-workshop, participants deepened her understanding of experiential and learner-centered teaching approaches that can greatly enhance the quality of classroom instruction and create more meaningful learning experiences for young learners. The event also strengthened collaboration among educators, institutions, parents, and community stakeholders, emphasizing the shared responsibility of nurturing childrenโs growth and supporting community development through quality education.

Furthermore, the activity aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by promoting inclusive, equitable, and quality learning opportunities through professional development and institutional collaboration. Through their active participation, the HCCCI Basic Education Department reaffirmed its dedication to developing competent, compassionate, and innovative educators who contribute to the advancement of quality education and meaningful community engagement.
