Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) proudly congratulates Dr. Erwin M. Faller, Academic Director of HCCCI, together with Prof. Abdul Razak Bin Abdul Hadi, Visiting Professor in Business Studies from Universiti Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), for their newly published research paper in collaboration with esteemed ASEAN scholars. The article, titled โAS Spatiotemporal Analysis of LSCI Variations in ASEAN Using ANOVA and Cluster Techniques (2017โ2022)โ was published in the International Journal of Knowledge in Database (Knowbase), Volume 5, No. 1, June 2025.
The publication unites scholars from across ASEAN coutries including Ariyono Setiawan of Politeknik Pelayaran Surabaya in Indonesia and Antoni Arif Priadi of Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pelayaran Jakarta, also from Indonesia. Together, the research team demonstrates the value of ASEAN-driven collaboration in addressing issues of connectivity, economic growth, and sustainable development.
The study investigates variations in the Logistics Connectivity Index (LSCI) within ASEAN by applying advanced statistical tools such as ANOVA and cluster techniques. Covering the period from 2017 to 2022, the research identifies significant spatiotemporal trends in maritime connectivity, an essential driver of regional trade integration and economic cooperation. These findings contribute not only to academic knowledge but also to shaping policy and strategies that foster stronger, more resilient ASEAN partnerships.
Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), the study emphasizes the role of logistics and connectivity in building a sustainable future for ASEAN. By addressing these areas, the research advances inclusive opportunities, strengthens infrastructure development, and promotes international collaboration as a pathway to sustainability.
Reflecting on the publication, Dr. Erwin Faller shared, โThis work highlights not only the importance of research in advancing knowledge but also the responsibility of institutions like HCCCI to contribute to sustainable development. Through collaboration with our ASEAN neighbors, we affirm our commitment to aligning education and research with the Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring that what we do in academe supports inclusive growth and regional integration.โ
For Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc., this milestone underscores its dedication to internationalization and cross-border knowledge-sharing. The collaboration with Universiti Kuala Lumpur and partner institutions in Indonesia is part of HCCCIโs continuing effort to expand its academic presence in the ASEAN region while remaining grounded in humility, inclusiveness, and service.
This achievement affirms HCCCIโs vision of preparing future-ready learners and educators who are globally connected yet locally grounded. By fostering partnerships that bridge cultures, strengthen academic ties, and advance the SDGs, HCCCI continues to create opportunities where research, innovation, and collaboration can drive sustainable growth across ASEAN.
