(HCCCI) welcomed officials from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as part of the agency's continuing efforts to monitor and engage with higher education institutions across the region.
The visit was conducted pursuant to CHED Regional Memorandum No. 66, Series of 2026, which outlined activities related to institutional monitoring, coordination, and updates concerning higher education institutions affected by the earthquake. The initiative reflects CHED's commitment to ensuring the welfare of students, supporting educational continuity, and maintaining close coordination with institutions during challenging circumstances.
During the visit, CHED officials gathered updates from participating institutions and reinforced the importance of maintaining safe learning environments, continuous student support services, and effective communication among stakeholders. The activity also provided an opportunity for institutions to share updates regarding their current operational status and ongoing efforts to serve their respective academic communities.
Representing Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. during the official engagement were Marivet S. Caballero, President, together with Ms. Vanessa Marie L. Antiquin, MMEM, Executive Vice President. They joined CHED Chairperson Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis and CHED Region XII Director IV Rody P. Garcia during the institutional visit and related activities conducted under the memorandum.
The visit underscored the importance of collaboration among higher education institutions and government agencies in promoting student welfare and ensuring the continuity of educational services. This engagement supports HCCCI's commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Through active participation in initiatives that strengthen educational systems and institutional collaboration, the College continues to contribute to the advancement of accessible, inclusive, and quality education.
Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. extends its sincere gratitude to CHED Chairperson Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, CHED Region XII Director IV Rody P. Garcia, and the entire CHED Region XII team for their continued leadership and support of higher education institutions throughout the region. The institution values the opportunity to engage with CHED and fellow educational leaders in promoting student welfare and institutional resilience.
