The Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) proudly announced the publication of the first issue of the HCCCI International Multidisciplinary Research Journal (HIMReJ) through a hybrid launching event on October 18, 2025. The event gathered faculty researchers, alumni, and student scholars who joined both online and onsite, marking a new chapter in the institutionโ€™s pursuit of academic excellence and global collaboration.

The journal launch introduced HIMReJ as a peer-reviewed, open-access, and biannual academic publication designed to serve as a venue for high-quality research across various fields. The event highlighted HCCCIโ€™s commitment to promoting scholarly exchange that addresses local, national, and global issues through multidisciplinary research.

One of the featured contributors in the inaugural issue was Ms. Arianne L. Cabugwas, an HCCCI alumna and Bachelor of Science in Education graduate, whose study exemplified culturally relevant teaching and community-based learning.

Her research, โ€œIntegrating Local Culture in Classroom Instruction,โ€ explored how indigenous stories and Filipino values can enhance studentsโ€™ critical thinking and engagement while preserving cultural identity.

Through its emphasis on inclusive and culturally responsive education, this research contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). It embodies the united vision of Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc., Sto. Nino College Foundation, Inc., and New Hope School of Agriculture and Fisheries, Inc. to bridge local communities with the global academic landscape through peace, partnership, and lifelong learning.

Through its emphasis on culture-based instruction, the research empowers teachers to connect learning with studentsโ€™ real-life experiences while promoting understanding and respect across diverse classrooms.

Ms. Cabugwas expressed her gratitude and pride for being part of HIMReJโ€™s pioneering issue, saying that the experience reaffirmed her passion for teaching and research that benefits communities.

HCCCI continues to pursue its vision of expanding research and publication opportunities anchored in integrity, service, and excellence, inspiring scholars to share knowledge that benefits the world community.

Through HIMReJ, HCCCI nurtures a new generation of researchers and educators who carry the stories and strengths of their communities into the global academic arena.
