The Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) Basic Education Department, through the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) and in collaboration with visiting student leaders and volunteers from Singapore, conducted a Cultural Experience and Interaction Program on June 5, 2026, at Campus 2. Bringing together learners from the Nurturing Care Development Center (NCDC), the initiative provided a meaningful platform for intercultural learning, global engagement, and leadership development while fostering appreciation for cultural diversity among young learners.

Serving as facilitators and cultural ambassadors, the HCCCI SSLG officers and student leaders from Singapore actively supported the implementation of the program alongside the Singaporean volunteers. Through experiential learning activities, they fostered intercultural dialogue, creativity, collaboration, and meaningful engagement among young learners. Their involvement provided participants with opportunities to build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and develop a greater appreciation for cultural diversity. The student leaders also demonstrated exemplary leadership, teamwork, and a strong commitment to service as they guided and supported the children throughout the program.

The cultural exchange provided NCDC learners with a unique opportunity to interact directly with international guests, broadening their perspectives and introducing them to diverse traditions, values, and experiences. With the support of the SSLG and student leaders, the children actively participated in discussions and activities that encouraged curiosity, friendship, and respect for cultural diversity. The experience not only enriched the learners' understanding of the world but also strengthened their ability to connect with people from different backgrounds.

Beyond benefiting the young learners, the activity also served as a valuable leadership and learning experience for the HCCCI student leaders. By working closely with the Singaporean volunteers, they gained firsthand exposure to intercultural communication, collaboration, and global citizenship. Their involvement reflected the HCCCI Basic Education Department's commitment to developing student leaders who are socially responsible, globally aware, and dedicated to making a positive impact in their communities.

The Cultural Experience and Interaction Program supports several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It aligns with SDG 4: Quality Education by providing inclusive and meaningful learning experiences beyond the traditional classroom setting. The activity also promotes SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities by encouraging respect for cultural diversity and fostering inclusive participation among learners from different backgrounds. Through positive intercultural interactions, the initiative contributes to SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions by promoting understanding, respect, and peaceful relationships. Furthermore, the collaboration among HCCCI, the NCDC, the SSLG, student leaders, and Singaporean volunteers exemplifies SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, demonstrating how local and international partnerships can create transformative educational opportunities and strengthen community engagement.
