In celebration of Earth Day, Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) launched its own environmental initiative titled Bring Your Own Tumbler Day, held on April 23, 2026, within the HCCCI campus. The activity engaged students, faculty, and staff in a public, face-to-face celebration that promotes environmental awareness and sustainable living through the consistent use of reusable tumblers.

The program was designed to raise awareness on the growing environmental impact of plastic waste and the urgent need for behavioral change. By encouraging the school community to bring and use their own tumblers, the initiative highlighted how simple, everyday practices can significantly reduce reliance on single-use plastics and contribute to environmental protection. It also emphasized that sustainability starts with conscious personal choices that are practiced consistently.

As part of the school-wide implementation of the initiative, the school canteen refrained from selling any single-use plastic products during the day, reinforcing the message of waste reduction and responsible consumption. This deliberate action strengthened the campaign’s impact by ensuring that eco-friendly practices were observed not only by individuals but also at the institutional level.

The initiative gathered participation from students across various academic programs, faculty members, and institutional personnel, with the strong support of school administrators who continue to uphold environmental responsibility as part of the institution’s advocacy.
