The activityโpart of the PNPโs Community Affairs Development Program โKapulisan at Pamayanan (KAP-KAP)โโaims to strengthen cooperation between the police and the community in promoting safety, discipline, and drug prevention.

The program brought together 34 first-year pharmacy students from HCCCI and 15 third-year biology students from PSU, engaging them in a cross-cultural study of herbal medicine and traditional wellness practices. Smoke-Free Campus Policy
In line with its advocacy for health, wellness, and environmental safety, Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) implements a comprehensive (Smoke Free Policy) to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment for all. This policy is part of the institutionโs commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and compliance with Republic Act No. 9211 and Executive Order No. 26, s. 2017, which promotes smoke-free environments in public spaces. This initiative was further strengthened through the successful KAP-KAP Anti-Criminality Orientation, conducted in cooperation with the Philippine National Police (PNP) Surallah and the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), which emphasized the enforcement of the Anti-Smoking Law.
Under this policy, HCCCI upholds a smoke-free campus, prohibiting smoking, vaping, and the use of any tobacco or nicotine-related products within all school buildings, facilities, and vehicles. However, smoking in designated areas is permitted, provided these areas comply with health and safety regulations.
Through awareness programs, visible signage, and counselling support, the institution promotes responsible behaviour and encourages smokers to reduce or quit smoking. As part of the celebration of World Mental Health Awareness, Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) held a Suicide Awareness and Prevention Seminar with morning and afternoon sessions for students and employees, respectively.
In compliance with Republic Act No. 11036 (Mental Health Act), the activity promoted understanding of mental health conditions, encouraged open discussions, and aimed to reduce stigma by fostering empathy and awareness within the community.
HCCCI continues to uphold its commitment to emotional wellness through mental health support for staff and students, ensuring access to mental health services, the active promotion of good mental health, and access to free mental health support when needed.
To strengthen these initiatives, the Guidance and Testing Center provides talk sessions and counselling services for those experiencing emotional or psychological difficulties, offering a safe and supportive space to seek help.
Guidance Counsellor Merlinita F. Segovia, MAEd, RGC, reminded everyone, โMental health is not just the absence of illnessโit is the presence of balance and compassion.
