Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI), through its International Relations Office (IRO) and the ORBIT Flagship ProgramโOpportunities for Reskilling, Bridging, Internationalization, and Training, is proud to launch an initiative that strengthens student learning, engagement, and meaningful impact in the community.
Under ORBIT, programs such as the HCCCI Global Classroom Initiative (HGCI), the Adult Learning Institute (HALI), and Robotics work together to provide students and community members with opportunities for skill development, practical application, and real-world problem solving. In partnership with Classify, Inc., our trusted IT solutions partner, HCCCI is implementing an SDG-integrated micro-credentialing system that recognizes student achievements in programs, projects, and community activities aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This initiative allows students to earn digital badges and certifications for contributing to global priorities such as quality education (SDG 4), health and well-being (SDG 3), gender equality (SDG 5), decent work and economic growth (SDG 8), reduced inequalities (SDG 10), and partnerships for the goals (SDG 17). Importantly, these activities are designed to address the real needs of the local community, giving students hands-on experience in creating solutions and opportunities that benefit families, neighborhoods, and Indigenous Peoples populations.
A cornerstone of ORBIT is the student portfolio, which records milestones, achievements, and contributions in a way that is tangible, verifiable, and meaningful. This portfolio allows students to showcase their growth, learning, and community impact to colleges, employers, and local stakeholders. Every effort counts, and every contribution is valued, reinforcing the programโs focus on sustainable, real-world outcomes.
Beyond recognition, ORBIT cultivates critical life skills and values. Students develop leadership, collaboration, critical thinking, and social responsibility while working on projects that address community challenges. Through HGCI, HALI, and Robotics, students engage in initiatives that have lasting effectsโwhether establishing micro-enterprises, improving local services, or introducing innovative solutionsโensuring that learning translates directly into positive change.
For parents and the wider HCCCI community, this initiative demonstrates a commitment not only to academic excellence but to nurturing conscious, empowered, and responsible global citizens. ORBIT embodies a holistic approach to education, linking classroom knowledge with sustainable community development, skill-building, and meaningful recognition.
Through this SDG-integrated, community-driven micro-credentialing initiative, HCCCI invites students, parents, and local communities to participate in a journey of growth, impact, and collective achievement. Learning becomes more than gradesโit becomes a tool for community transformation and lifelong contribution. This is the ORBIT Flagship Program in action: preparing students to lead, serve, and make a positive difference in the world.
